green fingered.

...Well, sorta.

Someone (not me) has created the ultimate in guilty pleasures, a Twi'Lek Real Doll.

I don't have the words right now.

But that's possibly because I'm having an argument with my erection.

last orders.

Goodnight sweet Prince.
David Hess 1942-2011.

From his family:

"It is with great sadness that we have said our last goodbyes to our beloved dad and friend to all. David passed away peacefully last night. The Mad Hessian lives on in his family, friends, and all of his devoted fans. Sing a song in celebration of his life."

when cosplay goes bad part 27.

A Doctor Who special (tho' not special enough for me to put my own pics up obviously).

september stiffs.

It's that time of the month again and I reckon you know the drill by now....

First up is Indian filmmaker Jagmohan "Jag" Mundhra, best known for the saucy exploitation movies he wrote/directed in the US before emerging as a 'proper' film-maker back home with such movies as Bawandar and Provoked.

The Arena tho' will always remember him for classics like The Jigsaw Murders (1988), Halloween Night (1988), Night Eyes (1990), L.A. Goddess (1993), Sexual Malice (1994) and Tales of the Kama Sutra 2: Monsoon (1998) with the yumsome Helen (mother of Adrien) Brody.

Let us also bid farewell to the Grandfather of video game journalism himself Bill Kunkel founder of Electronic Games magazine.

Kunkel, who began his career as a ground-breaking wrestling journalist and cartoonist also had a successful career writing for DC and arch rivals Marvel, counting Superman, Madame Xanadu, Vigilante and Spider-man amongst the legends he wrote for.

Staying with the world of 'the comics' last month also saw Sergio Bonelli meet his last deadline.

Bonelli was the creator of Italian cowboy heroTex Willer as well as Un ragazzo nel Far West ('A boy in the Far West') and Space hero Zagor.

On the acting front September saw the passing of Snake Plissken baiting president Cliff (Charly, Spider-Man, PT 109) Robertson,Lynch regular Frances Bay and blonde bad girl beauty Norma (Live Fast, Die Young, The Return of Dracula) Eberhardt.

From the world of comedy we were saddened by the loss of top Hungarian funny man József Böröczky but not as much as we were by the passing of legendary British comedy writer and producer David Croft, a man that without whom we'd have never experienced such delights as You Rang, M'Lord?, Dad's Army, Are You Being Served?, It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Hi-de-Hi!, 'Allo 'Allo! or the cult classic Come Back Mrs. Noah.

Hats off to you sir.
